Is there a foreign exchange office near the hostel?
Yes, there is once in Box Hill Central or alternatively, you could exchange at banks, although there will be a minimal surcharge fee.

Box Hill is also a major transport hub for the city of Whitehorse and surrounding suburbs. Box Hill railway station is located under the Box Hill Central shopping centre and is served by the Belgrave and Lilydale line services. The complex also includes a large bus terminal linking commuters to a variety of destinations across the eastern suburbs. Tram route 109 runs along Whitehorse Road to Port Melbourne via the city.
How do I get to S.A.V. from the airport
Option 1 : Skybus runs between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne City Centre, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service runs every 10 minutes and takes 20 minutes to get from the airport to the city centre. One trip is $17, return trip is $28. The bus will take you to Southern Cross Station, the either the Lilydale or Belgrave train line and get off at Box Hill Station. It will only be a 10-minute walk from the station to S.A.V.
Option 2 : Airport Bus Dandenong provides a shuttle service between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne’s South-Eastern suburbs. The service runs seven days a week, with reduced frequency on Saturdays and Sundays. Bookings are essential from most pick-up locations. For more information including fees, visit
